Welcome to the Bradford Literature Festival, hailed as one of the most inspirational festivals in the UK. With over 200 events packed into iconic venues across 10 days, we celebrate the written and spoken word in all its wonderful forms. Every year we invite world-renowned authors, poets, musicians and artists to visit our spectacular city and share their expertise and passions with you, the audience. Bradford really is the place to be from 30th June to the 9th July.
The festival prides itself on exploring current affairs and topical subjects, as well as history, literature and poetry. Each year the festival focuses on particular themes, see below for last year’s highlighted themes and their events.
Bradford is known not only for its artistic excellence and blessed with a significant cultural, architectural and literary heritage, but the Yorkshire city also boasts an impressive history.
